Sugarless Banana and Date Bread

  • 1/2 cup ripe bananas, mashed (preferably super-ripe)
  • 1 cup ripe dates skinned and seeded
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • ½ cup Sugar Alternate (I used Splenda)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt


  1. In a bowl, put sugar alternate with olive oil, milk and eggs and beat until completely mixed.
  2. Add dates and bananas and mix again.
  3. Add flours, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix again.
  4. Pour onto greased and lined loaf pan and bake over 350°C until toothpick inserted comes out clean (about an hour).
