Ground Beef with Oyster Sauce

Delicious even without rice

Ingredients

  • 1/2 k lean ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 small carrot diced
  • 1/2 cup green beans cut up
  • 2 tbps corn kernels
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 2 tbsps vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsps oyster sauce

Instructions

  1. Sautee garlic in oil until golden brown. Add the onions and stir for another minute.
  2. Add ground beef, stir till all juices evaporate.
  3. Add soy sauce, salt and pepper and the rest of the vegetables; cover, and simmer for about 5 minutes, adding a little water if the mixture becomes dry.
  4. Transfer onto a dish.
  5. Using the same pan (expect traces of oil here), stir the shredded cabbage for till slightly limp; place side by side with the ground beef and veggies on the same plate.
