About Us

My Mothers’ Kitchens website (MMK) started as a blog with the aim to share my two mom’s recipes – that of my Filipina birth mom and my Saudi mother-in-law; and my own which I felt to have become a fusion of the two coming from the minimal spices in the Filipino kitchen and the abundance in the Middle Eastern one. MMK grew to become a source of diverse recipes from years of cooking experience, travels and successful experimentations. 
Now, MMK is a family-and-friends team of cooks and food lovers, of shoppers and hoarders who put our interests and efforts together believing that such could take us to more places – literally and figuratively – than we have ever been.  The MMK team have travelled close to half the world, savored dishes from various cuisines because of our appetite for good food.  We have cooked – failed, repeated and perfected dishes – and entertained friends, colleagues and relatives in our dining rooms/tables, and kitchen counters and floors. Our team represents at least three different countries and have travelled individually and together to various countries from 4 continents. We aim to go further than 4!


All the recipes in MMK are tried and tested from our kitchens; the recipe instructions as simple as possible, taking into consideration your busy time just as ours!
